Poverty

It was a cold day with an uncanny whiff of warmth. There were lots of people around, but they didn’t matter. We silently prayed for more sunshine and fondness, memories and experiences, lunches and dinners, an endearing talk, a long and unending conversation, a comforting touch, and a lasting hug. Often, we don't realize how poor we really are, and how painful this poverty is.

  1. The poverty within us is difficult to eradicate at times.. ironically time can only eradicate it with time..hope I didn't confuse you.

  2. True enough...Richness in quantity doesn't always translate to wealth in quality. As Emerson said.." Without a kind heart, wealth is an ugly beggar"
